there is something magical about turning yourself up-side-down! as a beginner student, I believed my first inversion was my determined attempts of a handstand at the wall, over and over again. it is quite invigorating to feel the world flip over as hands become the foundation and feet fly!
the good news is that the yoga practice is sprinkled with various inversions:
+ standing forward bend
+ downward facing dog
+ wide angle forward bend
why invert? not only does it change your perspective and clear your mind, but it sends circulation to the brain, relieves the effects of gravity, and stimulates your energy.
