ahhhhhh......the elusive forward bends,
where our mind and ego set the bar high,
and our body keeps it real, hopefully.
it's the practice of 'ahimsa', meaning kindness.
go ahead and set the bar high (if you must...must you?),
but keep expectations real.
it DOES NOT MATTER if you can touch your toes in a forward bend!
it DOES NOT MATTER if you can do any pose in yoga.
the real practice happens when you learn about yourself and get into your head.
that is ahimsa.
that is yoga.
