a 'good' evening...how would you construct yours? it seems to me that the evening hours are so dependent on your day, your to-do list, and those around you. I feel way more freedom with morning rituals where my choice to be alone is more up to me, while the evenings can be pulled in all directions....
but we have choices, and what you choose to do at the end of a busy day can create time, space, and some preparation for peaceful sleep.
think slow ~ quiet ~ free of caffeine and screens ~ oils, epson salt and candles in a tub ~ a little chat time ~ a simple hobby ~ a good book ~ a slow walk ~ yoga.
on the mat in the evening, yoga acts like a release of stress and anxiety:
more stretching close to the ground
legs up the wall
seated forward bending
4.7.8 breathing (inhale for 4, retain breath for 7, exhale for 8 seconds)
and of course, as always, whatever you chose, for YOU.
